About The Project

What?

The GBE Factory project aims at accelerating the deployment of bio-sources (Green), such as biomass, bio fuel, biogas and / or from other major natural sources (Blue) arising from the sky and the earth, such as sun, wind, the earth’s crust for heating, cooling and electricity production in new or rehabilitated commercial and industrial buildings.

In this way GBE FACTORIEs can not only be self-sufficient industrial/commercial energy buildings, tending to zero emissions, but also real RES generation plants, that can share renewable electricity and thermal energy with the surrounding industrial or commercial area.

GBE FACTORY will represent the transition from fossil fuel warehouses to second generation industrial or commercial buildings.

How?

The priority domains will be the industrial and commercial sectors, with particular attention to energy-intensive-use assets.

Strong Business Models will be investigated and promoted to potential investors.

Public authorities will be directly involved in order to promote the deployment of funding measures and other support measures.

The project partners will, among others:

  •  draft best practices, market analysis assessing the potential savings in e/h/c costs by adopting a GBE Factory business model, project proposals of DEMO GBE FACTORIES (which match the most attractive Business Models with the most advanced RES solutions/technologies)
  • • organize matchmaking events, business agents trainings, events and seminars

A GBE FACTORY brand will be created and virtuous SMEs/companies will be awarded affixing a GBE FACTORY plate on the front door of their premises, conferring visibility and added value both to the company and to the GBE FACTORY brand itself. GBE Factory Brand recognition will be reinforced by producing GBE industrial videos on virtuous SMEs/companies.

Expert group

GBE FACTORY EXPERT GROUP will be composed by one expert from each GBE Factory partner who is expert on technical issues. This member will be the scientific responsible for animating the technical activities in the GBE project, and ensuring their positive turnout.

They will be technical references for the project’s partners when shared contribution to technical documents or local contribution to preliminary feasibility studies will be required and when it will be required to assists project partners in identifying and promoting GBE FACTORY ESCO/EPC organizations in order to foster EPC implementations.

They also have a crucial role in identifying and promoting GBE Factories with highly added-value as DEMO GBE FACTORIES.
